Springstead AD honored...again
Springstead athletic director Bob Levija recently earned his second major honor in the last eight months when he was formally recognized as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Levija, 57, “is one of a very elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide to attain this level of professionalism,” according to an NIAAA press release.
Levija, Springstead’s AD the last seven years, had to undergo a thorough educational background evaluation and 15 classes to earn certification. Course subjects included law, gender equity and facilities.
“I’ve been working on it for two years,” he said. “We’re trying to get Florida to push it to get all of our AD’s certified. It makes a big difference, the stuff I’ve learned.”
Last summer, Levija, who won more than 300 dual matches in 22 seasons as Eagles wrestling coach, was inducted into the Florida chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Coach Bob is a man of integrity and holds his coaches, students, and athletes to a HIGH standard. Tough times require tough decisions and many athletes have come back to thank Coach Bob for the tough stand he upholded. He should be honored for AD of THE CENTURY!!!!

Integrity?? On what planet? He always tried to bully teachers into changing grades for his wrestlers. Many of the ex-wrestlers have gone on to have criminal records.
