Stahl Florida State bound
Former St. Petersburg Catholic baseball and soccer standout Robby Stahl recently signed an athletic scholarship with Florida State to play baseball.
Stahl, who has played the last two seasons as an outfielder for Tallahassee Community College, will have two more years of eligibility remaining for the Seminoles.
"It's definitely been my dream ever since I was a little kid to play for Florida State," the 6-foot, 175 pound Stahl said. "It was my main reason for going to Tallahassee Community College. (FSU) wanted me to take the junior college route and see how I develop."
Stahl also had interest from the University of Tampa, Campbell University, University of South Carolina Beaufort and Flagler College, but signed immediately with the Seminoles as soon as they offered.
Stahl will head back to Tallahassee this weekend to begin summer classes at FSU and play for a collegiate summer ball team in Georgia.
