Stenfors stays close to home
Boca Ciega center Hannah Stenfors, who missed most of her senior season with a torn ACL, has signed with St. Petersburg College.
Stenfors is expected to be fully recovered by the start of fall practice. She averaged a double-double this season before being injured. For her career, she scored 411 career points and pulled down 501 rebounds. In her four seasons, the Pirates were 88-20, winning at least 20 games and advancing to the postseason each year, incuding three straight district championships.
Coach Will White says that Stenfors is the sixth Boca Ciega girls basketball player to receive a full athletic scholarship in the last six years.

Great job Hannah. You will find no better person and athlete around. She is very grounded and her faith has carried her and guided her well over her career. This is a great signing for SPC......Stenfors is the real deal....too bad she got injured and wasn't given the opportunity because of the injury to show the world how good she really was.

I agree. She had one of the 'wost' coach's in the county. Perhaps you should spend a little more time with a book and a little less time on the blogs.

I agree. He's horrible. He's had 16 seniors in his 5 years and how many have went to college? 16. How many coaches have a 100% rate with their kids going to college?

Clearly the haters out there must be players that got cut because they didn't have grades or the work ethic.

The only reason he wins is because he has good players. Put him on an average team, and they lose every night. The players win in spite of him.

That's true because look at Lakewood(as a comparison)...they've had better talent(except this year) and he still beat them 3 years in a row.
However, with that all being said........why do all of these blogs about the kids turn into blogs about the coaches? Can't the haters focus for one minute on the praise the athlete deserves?

Let's see....his kids win in spite of him and they all graduate in spite of him and they all go to college in spite of him..........wow, I want some of that water they are drinking at Bogie then!

It's not really college; it's junior college.

St. Pete College is a 4 year college you moron. Yes, they play JUCO basketball, but they are a 4 year school. You obviously haven't stayed up with the 'education news' in the St. Pete Times.

I am very excited about SPC next year. They have really recruited Pinellas County this year. They've signed some Dunedin girls, a Largo girl, St. Pete High, Boca Ciega.......I can't wait to see them play.
