Former area standouts give back

Mentoring can extend through generations

That's the title of a column in today's Times written by Ernest Hooper. The piece focuses on former athletes giving back to the community. One of the men featured is T.J. Lewis, a former Gaither basketball player. Another is one-time Chamberlain football standout Ollie Hoyte, who's now in the NFL.

The two men are linked by All Sports Community Service and founder Tyrone Keys. Keys helps aspiring high school students gain entry into college. In return, they agree to do volunteer service.

Enter Lewis and Hoyte. Check out Hoop's column. It's quite inspiring.
