Think Marve's the man? You can show your support online
It might not be a controversy. But it certainly is a battle.
As the Miami Hurricanes get set to start fall practice, they have yet to name a starting quarterback. There are two main guys in the hunt for the job -- Plant grad Robert Marve, a redshirt freshman, and Miami Northwestern grad Jacory Harris, a true freshman who early enrolled in January. While in Tampa on Thursday, 'Canes coach Randy Shannon (who also happens to be a lifelong friend of Blake coach Sean Washington) said both will play but a starter won't be named for awhile.
Whom do you think should start?
The Miami Herald Web site has a poll that asks that very question. And as of Friday afternoon at 2:37, with more than 1,200 votes in the surprising leader was Marve. We say surprising because Harris is a South Floridian after all.
Although it's doubtful Shannon will name a starter based on who wins the online poll (if he does, the program is in worse shape than I thought), if you'd like to have your say, go HERE.
