Largo's Lang now getting big-time offers
Largo's Mike Lang has the speed, coverage skills and tackling ability that college coaches covet.
That's why the senior defensive back is starting to get attention from major colleges. Lang has offers from UAB, Cincinnati, Louisville, Florida Atlantic and Missouri.
"Lousiville and Missouri came through with offers in the last three weeks," Lang said.
Last year, Lang made clutch plays in big games. In the Class 5A region semifinals, he returned an interception 75 yards for a score against Dunedin. This season, Lang will continue to play safety and will see more time as a receiver.
He said most schools are recruiting him as a defensive back, though Louisville and Cincinnati want him more as an athlete. In the two months, he said he will take some unofficial visits.
