Armwood jumps 2 spots in USA Today rankings
The Armwood Hawks, who improved to 2-0 with a 52-10 win last week over Wharton, have moved up two spots to No. 6 in the latest USA Today Super 25, which was released Monday night. Byrnes High of South Carolina is No. 1.
Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas (No. 5), Lakeland (No. 12) and Madison County (No. 13) are the only other ranked Florida teams.
In moving up, Armwood jumped California's famed Concord De La Salle, which had a one-point win last week. The Hawks have outscored two opponents 61-12.
