A new offer for TC standout
At this point, it's becoming increasingly obvious that Tampa Catholic quarterback Christian Green will be one of the state's top recruits in the Class of 2010. Green (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) has received another scholarship offer to go along with the ones he already has from Florida, Florida State and Michigan. It came from Louisville, Crusaders coach Bob Henriquez told the Times' Joey Knight today. The athletic Green is being recruited to play quarterback, receiver and even defensive back.
Will Green be the area's biggest prospect next year? If you were compiling a list of our elite juniors, whom would you put on it? Here are a few names that come to mind ...
- Eric Hammond, DT, Chamberlain, 6-4, 310: Has USC, LSU, UF potential.
- Terrence Mitchell, WR/DB, Hillsborough, 5-11, 170: A possible five-star cornerback.
- Maurice Hagens, RB, Tampa Bay Tech, 5-11, 235: Holds LSU, Tennessee offers.

Randy Ramos and Charles Winschip from Jesuit high school. Both are starting on a line with the second leading running back in Hillsborough, Robbie Garcia- also a junior.

Hey Christian, come on over to Plant so you can break records and throw to Sampson all day!

Sampson is too small, no way too small!
Posted by: | October 01, 2008 at 10:26 PM
We want him at WR not QB. He would drive Coach nuts with his poor decision making. Can't just run around at this level.

Largo has only 3 Seniors that rotate on both the o-line and d-line, the rest are Juniors. Next year should be domination in the trenches. LB/FB-Shawn Holte, CB-Jason Wine and ATH.-Myrick Gwynn will also be big time Seniors next year.

Keith, great topic. I gotta steal this topic and put it on BCP. If you get a chance, check what BCP fans think.

Jameel Jackson--TBT(Smaller than Hagens but tougher and faster.)
Carlos Wooten--King (LB good football player.)
Tauren Austin--Hillsborough (Could be better than Fayson when it's over, at least throwing the ball.)
Runningbacks from Jefferson (Don't know their name but they can play)

tauren austin will never be better than Fayson

What about Christian's brother - Brandon? 6'4", 230lbs graduates 2009. He is a sleeper being over looked.
Posted by: | October 05, 2008 at 03:40 PM
No. Just not as athletic as his brother. Div 2, maybe non-scholarship 1AA.

Word is, Brandon might have some MAC teams interested. When I find out, I'll let you all know
