Hadley has final four
Armwood safety Angelo Hadley, whom rivals.com rates as the state's 90th best senior prospect, has narrowed his list of potential colleges to four: Florida, Georgia, Michigan and North Carolina.
"It's going to be one of those four," Hadley told the Times on Tuesday.
Of the group, all but Florida has offered the 6-foot, 190-pound Hadley a scholarship, but Hadley is optimistic that will change. He recently visited UNC (he gave the visit a "9") and is in the process of planning official visits to the other three.
A three-year starter who has two interceptions for the nationally ranked Hawks (a team with three shutouts), Hadley also has considered schools such as Auburn, Clemson and Southern California during the recruiting process. All three offered scholarships, he said.
Here's what Hadley had to say about his finalists ...
Florida: "It's another good SEC team. They won a national championship two years ago and are looking forward to building for another."
Georgia: "They're a good team in the SEC. They always have winning seasons. It's a great program that produces a lot of (NFL) safeties."
Michigan: "It's an up-and-coming program. They're trying to build a team right now."
North Carolina: "It's a great campus and everything. It's a good up-and-coming program with Coach (Butch) Davis as the head coach."
