Plant's Ley to Davidson

Ariel Ley, a key member of the nationally ranked Plant volleyball team, has committed to Davidson, Panthers coach Leanna Taylor said Thursday night. Ley, who plays setter and hitter for the Panthers, had eight kills in the team's convincing win over Brandon on Thursday.

Ley currently is third on the team in kills and second in assists.

Davidson, which is located in North Carolina, is 7-11 this season. The Wildcats play in the Southern Conference.

Davidson has three players on its roster from Florida. One of them, libero Jennifer Chamblee, is a former Plant standout.
