Troy in front for Plant City's Drone

Troy has emerged as the front-runner for Plant City linebacker Denzel Drone, but Western Kentucky is still very much in the game, the standout senior told the Times. Both schools have offered him a scholarship. Michigan State also is interested.

TroyThe Spartans have yet to offer, but have started to show serious interest and recently requested video footage of Drone.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Drone will visit Western Kentucky in two weeks and is expected to trip to Troy in January. He says he's "60-40" in favor or Troy, but his trip to WKU could change that.

"If I like what I see, I might have to go with them," Drone said. "I might jump on something before they snatch the offer away."
