The mastermind behind the Chamberlain offense

Few offenses in this part of the state have been as productive this fall as Chamberlain's. Entering Friday's playoff opener against Gaither, the Chiefs are averaging 37.1 points and 377.9 yard per game. And they've succeeded by being pretty balanced. Not only has Chamberlain rushed for 2,580 yards, but it has 1,199 passing yards with 11 touchdown strikes.

Chamberlainhelmet_2 Who warrants the credit?

The offensive coordinator, longtime Chiefs coach Billy Turner said.

"He deserves all of it," Turner said. "It's his offense. He put it together."

As he spoke those words, you can bet Turner was beaming with pride. That's because the team's O.C. is his son, Brian. It's a title he has held since last year (he's also the QB coach).

"He's the architect," Billy Turner said. "And I'm not giving him credit just because he's my son. He's done an outstanding job. Right now, he's got it on his resume that he's the offensive coordinator of a team that scores between 30 and 40 points a game. That's his resume, not my resume."
