Why did Rivals.com drop Armwood?

The unbeaten Armwood football team (12-0) fell one spot to No. 4 in this week's RivalsHigh 100 national rankings, getting jumped by Cleveland St. Ignatius (14-1), which was fifth last week.

The question is, why?

To find the answer, I asked the man who compiles the rankings.

His name is Dallas Jackson. And he's the managing producer of high school sports with Rivals.com.

"It doesn't have as much to do with Armwood as it has to do with St. Ignatius," Jackson said. "St. Ignatius has been playing the past three weeks in the Ohio playoffs and has gone up against three top-50 national teams. Really, it has nothing to do with the Hawks."

St. Ignatius won the Ohio Division I state championship last week.
