Is Gibbs a top 10 team in the state? Yes, without a doubt. So, why aren't they ranked in the top ten? So many polls are based on reputation and previous success. Gibbs has to continue to 'prove it.' It's not fair, but it's a reality. Also, they haven't played the caliber of schedule necessary to be ranked higher. The only really good team they beat was Boca. So, why is Boca higher than Gibbs? Reputation and they have several good wins: North Port, Bradenton Southeast, Sarasota High School, etc.

i think its a joke that u do not have gibbs basketball in the top ten considering the went toe to toe with clearwater and do believe they have beat boca ciega, but hey i guess 13-2 means nothing whoever ranks these teams is a moron
