Leto RB Deering's offers up to 16

Leto running back Jeremy Deering picked up two more scholarship offers Monday.

Deering, who has quickly become one of the bay area's top recruits, received offers from Ole Miss and Iowa, Leto offensive coordinator Frank Rose said.

Deering now has five offers from Big Ten schools -- Ohio State, Michigan, Purdue, Illinois and Iowa. Ole Miss is Deering's second SEC offer (Kentucky).

He also owns scholarships from Pitt, West Virginia, Syracuse, Kansas, Oregon State, USF and UCF.

Rose said he expects six or seven college coaches to visit Leto for their first day of spring practice on Friday, starting a week that he believes should bring about 30 scouts to see Deering.
