Tampa Catholic offensive lineman Chaz Green names Gators as his leader

Chazgreen Name a big name college football program and Tampa Catholic rising senior lineman Chaz Green probably has a scholarship offer from it.

Now, Green has named his favorite school: Florida.

"Right now, it's Florida followed by USC, Georgia, Ohio State," Green said Wednesday at Tampa Catholic's weekly summer 7-on-7 tournament at Gaither.

The 6-foot-6, 295-pound Green, who is ranked the 21st-best offensive tackle prospect in the nation by Rivals.com, said he'd like to make a college decision soon, but he also wants to be able to make visits to all four schools. He plans on going to Georgia this week, Florida next week. Even though they are further away, Green said he wanted to still visit Ohio State and USC, which might delay his decision.

Green and his Crusader teammate, quarterback Christian Green (no relation), are the area's most highly recruited duo, drawing nearly 60 Division I scouts over spring practice.
