The hit of the year … so far ... courtesy of Gulf's Tyshawn Peters
Two days ago, I blogged about what I called the “the best hit I’ve seen in recent years.”
It was produced in the third quarter of Friday’s Gulf-Tarpon Springs game (won by Tarpon 27-2) by the Bucs’ Tyshawn Peters, who absolutely flattened a Tarpon Springs receiver on a pass near the sideline. In the process, he separated the opposing player from the ball and drew a roar from many in the crowd.
Thanks to Gulf‘s sensational video crew (specifically Jeff Miller), you can see what I saw.
Enjoy ...

And even though that was ruled incomplete, it looks like a complete pass to me.

P.S. by the way, how tough is the kid Peters hit??? He got right back up like it was nothing. Can you imagine if Tyshawn would have hit Cotey that hard? He would have been eating his Labor Day dinner through a tube ...

I'd love to see MLB Kosta Vavlas hit on QB Madison Burr on a screen pass. It was just as bad

I have not seen this hit yet (can't get on YouTube at work) but if it's better than the one Jamie Byrd put on the kid from Hernando Friday night, it must be one heck of a hit.
