Gulf star Leon Orr still bothered by injury

NEW PORT RICHEY -- The left hamstring injury that kept heralded Gulf defensive tackle/tight end Leon Orr from playing last week against Tarpon Springs is still giving the talented senior trouble.

But it shouldn’t keep him from playing Friday against Hudson.

Gulfhelmet “He’s probable,” Bucs coach Jay Fulmer said Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Orr, a Florida Gators commit, missed a decent bit of practice last week and watched his team's preseason game from the sideline.

“It’s still bothering him,” Fulmer said.

Orr is ranked as the country’s 95th best senior prospect by Rivals.com.

When healthy, “there’s nobody who can play like he can play,” Fulmer said.
