David Reutimann adds 'team owner' to resume
As if David Reutimann didn’t have enough to consume his time as a full-time Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series driver… Entering his second full season at NASCAR’s top two levels, the 37-year-old Zephyrhills native will become a team owner in 2008 as his cousin, Wayne Jr., an accomplished USAC and sprint car driver, attempts to switch to stock cars in the ARCA series.
David Reutimann had hoped to use his contacts to secure his cousin a ride with an existing team in the third-tier series, but said that owners wanted the driver to bring his own sponsor and infrastructure, in essence a $2-million investment. So Reutimann, who finished second in the Busch Series standings this season, took on the chore himself, having purchased three Toyotas from his Michael Waltrip Racing Cup team and plans to attempt eight races with a $35,000 budget. Fifteen thousand of that per-race total will lease engines from Toyota Racing Development. Reutimann’s Nationswide series crew had pledged to help.
“It’s a good thing they like me,’’ Reutimann said.

I was lucky enough to catch David's interview with Marty and David on the Morning Drive this morning.
Now we've all got to help David and Wayne get a sponsor.
I was thinking Bubba the Love Sponge, because he had David's name on one of his polls recently. And now that "Bubba" has been picked up again locally, this could be a perfect opportunity to advertise both shows, and maybe Sirius would pitch in as well....or Howard Stern!
Much luck to David, Wayne and everyone working on the ARCA team.
And good luck to David and Pemberton as they team up on the 00 and 44 next season. We'd love to see you get Toyota's first win in Sprint Cup!
