Lou's back in the dugout
Former Devil Rays manager Lou Piniella is poised to return to baseball, with an announcement expected Tuesday that he has agreed to a three-year contract as manager of the Chicago Cubs.
Piniella, a Tampa native, managed the Rays frim 2003-2005, then negotiated out of the final year of his contract and sat out the 2006 season, working as a TV analyst for Fox.
