Live from New York ...

It's damp and cloudy at Yankee Stadium this morning, but the clouds are supposed to go away to create - as George Steinbrenner would demand - a beautiful day for baseball.

A number of Rays are already here, with rookie Delmon Young already out on the field doing some running.

The lineups look as expetced:

Carl Crawford, lf
Ben Zobrist, ss
Rocco Baldelli, DH
Ty Wigginton, 1b
Delmon Young, rf
Akinori Iwamura, 3b
Dioner Navarro, c
Elijah Dukes, cf
B.J. Upton, 2B
Scott Kazmir, p

Yankees
Damon, cf
Jeter, ss
Abreu, rf
Rodriguez, 3b
Giambi, dh
Matsui, lf
Posada, c
Cano, 2B
Phelps, 1b
Pavano, p

The Devil Rays, the best 5 inning team in the American League East. The first five innings looked great, but the Devil Rays relivers should all be optioned to Durham because they are not ready for the major league regular season.

Daw - its this exact pessamism which all fans should avoid. Maybe you've never been part of a team. Try supporting the team you care about.
