Saturday night fever ....

There was still plenty of excitement at Tropicana Field from Friday's dramatic walkoff win as the Rays took the field for Saturday's game.

The big news was that Rocco Baldelli returned to centerfield for the first time since mid-March, having been limited to DH duties since recovering from tightness in his right hamstring. Manager Joe Maddon also gave 1B Carlos Pena and SS Brendan Harris their first starts, with Ben Zobrist taking a seat and Ty Wigginton moving to DH. Elijah Dukes was also out of the lineup.

Maddon plans to go back mainly to his regular lineup for Sunday's marquee matchup between Scott Kazmir and Roy Halladay, though did raise the possibility that he would use Pena again to get an extra lefthanded bat in the lineup.

Nothing wrong with being excited about the upcoming season. Still, I'm puzzled where covering up seats in the upper deck (pretending they aren't really empty?) fits into all this "excitement".
