Fresh off being swept at home by the White Sox, the Rays open a 10-game, 10-day road trip tonight in Cleveland. During this fourt game series, the Rays will face some solid starting pitching from the Tribe in Jake Westbrook, C.C. Sabathia, Cliff Lee and Fausto Carmona. The Rays didn't get into Cleveland until 2:30 a.m. this morning, so they won't have batting practice before tonight's game. Here's the lineup that will face Westbrook tonight.

Iwamura, 3B
Harris, SS
Crawford, LF
Norton, DH
Pena, 1B
Wigginton, 2B
Young, CF
Gomes, RF
Navarro, C

Why in the world is Norton hitting cleanup....you've got to be kidding me!!

These last 5 games (the ChiSox sweep & 1st Tribe game) have been brutal to watch, particularly the Rays bats. By my count, the Rays have batted 4 of 38 with runners in scoring position (that's .105) over this stretch and I've seen our best hitters have their most putrid at bats with opportunities to cash in.

Sigh...ya gotta love baseball.

It's a good thing we have loyal fans after watching these last seven games. I really think the guys have to relax and they will get back into a groove. We're a much better team than these last few days.

And by the way...my rant for the day...did you see Gomes drop that ball in right field yesterday...or was he even close. Then Joe Magrane tells us that he lost it in the sun. My question: WHERE WERE HIS SUNGLASSES?!?!?. Our errors lately are killing us and I feel like i'm watching a baseball bloopers video.
