Upton not in Vero lineup
Rays manager Joe Maddon said initial reports on injured Rays 2B/CF B.J. Upton (left quad strain) were positive – he wasn’t sore after playing his first rehab game for Class-A Vero Beach Thursday – but Upton wasn’t in the Vero Beach lineup tonight as the Rays' advanced Class-A team played against the Tampa Yankees at Legends Field.
Maddon said before tonight’s game in Cleveland that Upton was scheduled to play seven innings at second base tonight, but team spokesman Jason Latimer said Upton wasn't in the lineup because he was fatigued after Thursday's day game and the move was "very precautionary."

"Fatigued" after only playing 5 innings, going 0-3 and basically trotting to first?
