Upton to DL, Gomes back
The Rays are putting B.J. Upton on the 15-day disabled list due to a left quad strain and are recalling OF Jonny Gomes. Upton could be out another two weeks. Gomes, sent down a few weeks ago, will join the team in time for Thursday's noon game.

todd, what do you like about going to the games, watching gomes strike out

I agree. How could you not move Crawford? You are more concerned with messing up an experienced All-Star's "vibe" than you are with tinkering with a rookie and throwing him out of his comfort zone?? The thing that concerns me the most is that Maddon doesn't seem to have the respect of these players. There have been comments all year by the players undermining his decisions. This is a boneheaded move. Hopefully, Rocco or Dukes will be back soon enough to where this isn't an issue long.

What a moron Super Joe is. He doesn't want to put Carl in center because he doesn't want to mess up his vibe. Are you freaking serious? This is a major league team.....put people where they need to be for the team! Carl in center is a much better fit than Delmon.
