Would you want Manny on your team?
"There is no question that Manny Ramirez is an elite hitter and belongs among the best of all time. But as good a hitter as he is, he’s just as bad (if not worse) a ballplayer,'' staff writer Anthony Perez writes in a point-counterpoint in Friday's St. Petersburg Times.
Counters Tom Jones, "Manny Ramirez can play for my team anytime. In fact, if I had to win one game and there was a draft to pick a team, Ramirez would be my first choice.''

Who cares! This guy looks like a "PIMP" and they pay him over $17 million a year. All of this concern, just because he can hit a baseball!! The whole system is out of whack.

I cannot imagine anyone not wanting Manny on his team. He is one of the elite hitters of his generation. Most of the other stuff is overblown media hype to sell stories. As a matter of fact, he is a hard worker and a very smart and dedicated player.

If I am managing a team I want to score runs and who better than Manny? Right now my favorite player. This fellow Perez may be helping pick players for Rays.

Anyone who doesn't want Manny on their team is simply fooling themselves. The guy is probably the greatest hitter in the game, and has been for the last few years. It doesn't matter if he seems lazy (which I don't think he is) at times or if his fielding is suspect. He's a great hitter.

Sure hope he gets traded to the Yankees. H will have to do as Johnny Damon, except they shoul make him shave his head. He is a disgrace to baseball and for sure not a good influence on the young coming up. Plain arrogant.
