Kazmir, Zobrist put on 15-day disabled list
As expected, the Rays placed ace LHP Scott Kazmir (left elbow strain) and INF Ben Zobrist (left thumb fracture) on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday.
The DL stints will be retroactive to March 21st, and the two will come off the disabled list April 5th.
Kazmir has yet to throw off the mound since Mar. 13, when he was thought to be wrapping up the rehab of the strain suffered Feb. 26 before the Rays first intrasquad game. The Rays had initially targeted him to start that Sunday, March 16th against the Tigers, but backed off for precautionary reasons when they felt his arm strength wasn't where it should be.
Manager Joe Maddon said Tuesday that Kazmir could throw off the mound again sometime next week. Kazmir threw from 90 feet today and will work his way up to 120 feet by the end of the weekend.
Zobrist, who was being groomed to be the Rays super-utility man, fractured his left thumb March 9th. Though he got his cast off a week early, a doctor's appointment Monday showed the fracture hadn't fully recovered.

Kazmir is done! He wont be back before June and he will never be the same. My sources tell me the injury is a huge concern and the Smoke screen is up because of the stadium issue.
Sad day for the Rays, Longoria sent down and Rocco to tired to play and Scotty`s arm a mess this team is headed for last again.. Dont buy into the Stadium There will be noone there to play

Do you work for a PAC against the new stadium? Everything you post on all boards seems to negatively tie-in the feature story to some conspiracy to push through the new stadium. I'm not necessarily for the new stadium, I like my air conditioning, but your motives are suspect. Almost like a coordinated political effort... hmmmm. Maybe you live in a condo near Al Lang?

Mike, I do not live in St Pete at all. I have seen owners like these guys come in and just fleece the residents. If they want a New Stadium pay for it yourself. Put a winner on the field and dont lie to us.
Untill then, I just want people to see who they are dealing with.
10 years of losing and they want a new place to play.. Please.

JB you are full of it. Your sources tell you? Who do you think you are? My guess is you are some ham and egger like the rest of us posting on this chat. If you had "sources" you wouldnt be posting on this board you FOOL. So unless you can even qualify your "source", shut down the library computer and go back home to your mom.
