Prospect McGee has torn ligament

LHP Jake McGee, one of the Rays' top prospects, has been diagnosed with a torn ligament in his left elbow and could be sidelined for a full year if Tommy John surgery is necessary. He will get a second opinion Monday from Dr. James Andrews.

too bad...Mcgee would have been one of our best trade chips at the deadline this year.

Easy come, Easy go. Looks like we traded McGee for Price.
2010 rotation now looks like Kazmir, Shields, Price Davis and Hellickson/Garza. World championship stuff. McGee could come back as the wild heartattach closer.

With the success rate of pitchers coming back from Tommy John surgery,McGee may come back throwing 100 MPH.The good news is that he is still only 21 yrs old and hopefully will recover fully.
