Sonnanstine pitches seven
strong innings in Rays' win
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Andy Sonnanstine pitched five-hit ball over seven innings and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Kansas City Royals 3-0 Saturday night for their sixth straight win.
The Rays increased their AL East lead to a season-high four games over second-place Boston. Tampa Bay has won 10 of 11.
Sonnanstine (10-3) won his fourth consecutive decision. J.P Howell pitched the eighth inning and Grant Balfour worked the ninth for his third save.

We are in first place with a four game lead, in the AL East no less, and there are fewer games to be played than have already been played. Unbelievable. Keep up the magical season. My plea to managemant, please don't mess with this.
