Calls can have galvanizing effect
How might Rays manager Joe Maddon use the controversial calls that have gone against the Rays to motivate his team?
How soon will third baseman Evan Longoria be back in the lineup? Will top prospect David Price be among the players called up by the Rays next week?
Times beat writer Marc Topkin discusses these topics and more in the latest edition of our 'Rays Report' audio slide show.

you are right 9equals8, the guys need to see that we support them, and these two series will be great, remember the BlueJays are playing for a wild card. The only problem with next two against NY and bean town is their fans, I just can not stand them. But thanks for the money suckers from ny and b-town. see you at the game, go RAYS

Marc, you do we still talk about our road record like it's horrible? You were on ESPNnews doing it the other day. No, it's not as good as their home record, but they have the second best road record in the AL and a Top-6 road record in all of baseball. That's exceptional, not a negative. Please stop talking like it is.

Come on, everyone. Let's load up the Pit for the next 2 series (I know the Yanks series will be packed). The Rays Report references "some of the lowest advance ticket sales of the year" so let's see if there can be a late surge. If you are sitting at work reading this, don't bother going home, just head to the field. Halladay / Shields won't disappoint.
