Mama said cut it out
Got a little concerned entering the Trop this afternoon. Music was rippin' through the building. Obviously it was sound check for tonight's concert. But it sounded an awful lot like a tenor sax and the silky jazzy sounds of Sting well post-Police. Turns out his VH1 jams are just right for testing the speakers. If they can take that ...
So come on down. Sting's not really here, apparently.

Harold, you're totally correct up to this point: The local tv station (ion 66 or Fox Sports Net Florida) CAN pick up the game in progress but for whatever reason it's not done. On the Rays radio broadcast last night, they made mention that viewers in Detroit were just getting the game at 7:05 (2nd or 3rd inning). At any rate, I didn't get a ticket to the game and hoped to watch at home. I'll be there Wednesday afternoon and was at Friday's game.
To Craig: You're right buddy, this season has been extremely magical and very fun to finally have a team playing games which matter to the Rays and our fans. GO RAYS!!!

the reason the early start games cant be shown is because Fox has an exclusive Saturday contract until 7 pm
SO unless fox picks up th game it cant be shown. So i have been told by the cable company.

The reason the Saturday night games with a concert have not been on TV is they start at 6:10 an hour early.. There is some rule by MLB where because of the early start they cannot be shown..

I'm sure we woulda heard something by now if rocco was playing.. they probably will give him a couple days to get back in BP and in the clubhouse

The game will not be on tv tonight, so the only ppl in the bay area that will be watching are the ones that are at the game... pathetic deal we got, we get a first place team finally.. and we cant watch them down the stretch against one of the best teams in baseball

Man I hope so. I keep coming back here to find out. I guess I was hoping they took him out after 5 innings last night to ensure he stayed healthy so he could play tonight. Could you imagine the atmosphere in the sold out pit if he was announced as the starting DH?
Wow.
