Miller is glad his major-league-record streak is over

LHP Trever Miller's major-league record for consecutive appearances without a decision was snapped in style.

Miller earned the win Sunday in the Rays wild, 6-5 victory in 10 innings over Detroit.

The victory marks Miller's first decision since Sept 30, 2006 (a win over Atlanta), with 121 apperances since.

In other interesting tid-bits from today's game

*Closer Troy Percival had converted 15 consecutive save opportunities before he gave up two homers Sunday. Percival pitched more than one inning for the first time this year, faced a season-high eight batters.

It was the first time in more than eight years that Percival gave up two homers in an outing (the last June 14, 2000 at the Trop against the Rays while with the Angels).

The Rays have won all 27 games he's entered, including the three save opportunities he's blown.

*B.J. Upton hit his first homer in 26 games (since June 30 vs Boston), and it was just his second homer in his last 45 games.
