Two Rays minor leaguers receive drug suspensions
Rays minor league players Cesar Guillen and Victor Henriquez have each received 50-game suspensions for testing positive for performance-enhancing substances
Guillen, an outfielder, tested positive for Ephedrine. Henriquez, an infielder, tested positive for metabolites of Stanozolol. Both are with Tampa Bay's Dominican Summer League team.

This is pretty ticky-tack. Ephedrine? You can buy that at any 7-11. This isn't the Barry Bonds Winstrol stuff they were busted for.

The website you link advocates ending pitch counts, and then cites the number of innings many Hall of Fame pitchers. Aside from its selective sampling (I sure don't see anyone using Mark Fidrych or Kerry Wood there), it completely misses the point. Pitch counts is all about limiting the number of PITCHES, NOT INNINGS, and tons of data suggests that young pitchers are much more susceptible to injury after reaching the 110 pitch mark. There is also a ton of data that shows that starters become much less effective at that point anyway.
Not to mention the fact that if you can't come close to completing a game in 110 pitches, you probably aren't pitching all that well to begin with.

Get rid of those two guys RIGHT NOW, regardless their background, talent, whatever else--we don't need young guys with excess baggage in this organization.

Retarded idea. Yeah, I really think managers and owners will listen to a petition to allow pitchers to pitch deeper into games. Hey! Lets get together a petition to let football players play again with leather helmets, I mean only a few of them were seriously hurt, right?
