For (2009) openers, Red Sox
The Rays don't know where or when they will finish this season. But they know where they will start next year's, at Fenway Park in Boston on April 6.
The Rays' home opener - when they hope to have a banner to raise - is April 13 against the Yankees.
The Rays will make interleague trips to play the Marlins, Mets and Rockies, and they will host the Marlins, Nationals and Phillies. The Denver-New York trip is June 16-22, as the Rays get to play in both new stadiums in New York.
Among the more difficult aspects of the schedule: a nine game early-season trip to Seattle, Oakland and Minnesota April 21-29, a second-half opening 10-game trip to Kansas City, Chicago and Toronto July 17-26, and a tough 10-game September swing to New York, Boston and Baltimore Sept. 7-17.
The Rays once again got no help from MLB in terms of attracting larger crowds at home, with only one of their three series against the Red Sox on a weekend, April 30-May 3, and one against the Yankees, Oct. 2-4, in the last series of the season.

Why not post the whole schedule for fans to peruse or a link to it somewhere?
I had to go the NY Post site to find the specific dates the Rays are scheduled to come up and play the Mets. I just looked and it's also on the D-Rays official site. www.devilrays.com will get you there.

Who cares about attendance when you are getting all that TV $? Our Audience is America...hello!
Answer this Question?
Who's Mr. September and will he hit another crucial homerun tonight?
Question #2?
Who has the most dynamic and stocked Bullpen in Baseball? Hint: Joe knows.

"Why do the Rays open on the road all the time?"
Totally agree...Complete BS we always start on the road, but how great will it be to open the new Yankoff Stadium and hang a L on them.

Why do the Rays open on the road all the time? Can't we have a true season opener at home for once?

Bud Selig and MLB hate the Rays. I'm sure we'll get the Royals, Mariners, A's and Blue Jays for weekend series, along with a long homestand during the first week of school (the MOST difficult week of the school year to take your kids to games).
No matter what, attendance won't be up to expectations, so we'll get to read 50 posts a week claiming that the stadium should be in Tampa.

Wouldn't we want the Sox and Yankees to fall on weekdays? That way the teams no one shows up for during the week get more on the weekends. My two cents....
