Governor is flying the Rays' colors

Cristrays450 [SCOTT KEELER | Times]

ST. PETERSBURG -- Gov. Charlie Crist toured two Pinellas County businesses today, sporting a Rays tie and a Rays sticker on his dress shirt.

Crist said he is hoping to get the chance to watch the Rays at Tropicana Field again, if they return for more games in the American League Championship Series. The Rays will play three games in Boston, including the one that begins this afternoon. Depending on how the Rays play, they could return to St. Petersburg for games Saturday and possibly Sunday.

But Crist said he would face the same problem that many fans do: He needs tickets.

Game five in Boston last night was the worst management of a major league team that I have ever witnessed in my fifty years of playing the game. Why,in God`s name, would you take Kazmir out, whose having one of his finest outings, and bring in a Boston-lovin` fast ball pitcher like Balfour? How stupid can you get Mr.Maddon! What is you`re problem with David Price?Wheeler is pretty much a Precival anymore, unpredictable! Then you walk Jason Bay,who hasn`t hit anything all night, and pitch to the guy who hit a two run homer the inning before! What were you thinking with?A complete and total diappointment as well as an embarrassment.Thankd for giving Boston new life with your inept decisions "Joe!"

Raymond The Rays Mascot

Gov's a homeboy, err, Gov. Charlie Sir.

and you'll laugh at my costume.

Bill

Photo Op Charlie is at it again. Do nothing Charlie also fits.

WHo CAUGHT THAT BALL?

Who caught Evan's ball on the Green Monster? HE was wearing a Rays jersey!

Jimbo

Could he have picked a less-obvious sticker? He could have sprung for a pin, for Pete's sake!

However, I really am glad to see the Gov get on-board with his home team. I hope more people jump on the bandwagon, because despite what you may think, an 11-year old team needs a bandwagon to eventually breed the die-hards.

I'll share a ticket with the gov if he wants to come.... He can be my guest.
