Police: 41 ejections, 8 arrests from Game 1

ST. PETERSURG -- Forty-one people were ejected from Tropicana Field during Game 1 of the World Series,  authorities said, and eight people were arrested. According to all the arrest reports, here's some of what officers had to deal with Wednesday:

Anthony David Reyes, 27, of Lake Mary, was arrested on charges of disoderly conduct and possession of marijuana. Reyes brawled in the stands of the Trop during Game 1, according to police, who then found 20 grams of marijuana in his right front pocket.

Larry G. Portscher Jr., 36, of Naples, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and obstruction. He is accused of throwing a beer at another fan, then trying to pull away from officers as they tried to handcuff him.

Brian Charles Gallagher, 21, of Philadelphia, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest without violence. According to a Pinellas sheriff's deputy, Gallagher was creating a disturbance at the game, got unruly with security staffers escorting him out, then tried to pull away from deputies as they tried to cuff him.

Brian M. Lewis, 32, of New Jersey, was arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication and resisiting arrest without violence. Deputies say he was causing a disturbance that escalated after he refused to leave the Trop, then resisted attempts to be handcuffed.

Kevin C. Siegfried, 28, of Orlando, was arrested on charges of theft of services and violation of probation. Police say he refused to pay his $25 tab at Ferg's, then became beligerent.

Michael D. Long, 52, of Wesley Chapel, was arrested on a charge of DUI. Police say he was found passed out behind the wheel of a 2008 Infiniti in the Trop parking lot around 11:08 p.m. -- before Game 1 ended.

Steven Jay Markley, 25, of Clearwater, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police say he tried to start a brawl in front of Ferg's Sports Bar and Grill this morning around 12:15 a.m.

Tampa Bay doesn't even know what baseball is. You've all been fans for about a month when you learned you had a team for the first time because you finally had a winning record. You all tried to talk smack on Philly for having 10,000 losses, you havent even played 10,000 games. I am Philly, born and raised, a fan since the day I was born, and what I saw in St. Petersburg was a disgrace to the game of baseball and all sports. Philly was everywhere that night. I've been to the parking lot of all 3 games here and have yet to see a Rays fan. You're all a bunch of soft clowns and don't deserve a major league franchise, let alone a chance to win a championship.

David Reyes

hey i have an awesome idea, let me put 3/4 OF AN OUNCE of marijuana in my pocket and start fistfights in a crowded arena. What could possibly go wrong?

I can not beleive they arrested the guy fron Wesley Chapel for being passed out in the parking lot. Its not like he was driving.

FauxHawk
