The Trop is empty, but Rays Team Store is open

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Tampa Bay Rays play in Boston this afternoon, but you can still go to the team store at Tropicana Field in case you've been hungering for a new ball cap or a T-shirt commemorating the  American League Championship Series.

After earning a playoff berth, the Team Store began staying open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays, unless there is a home game. When there is a home game, the store opens when the Trop's gates open.

In the regular season, the store was only open on game days.

Only a few people were milling about the store this morning. Going into the store when it is not filled with a game-day crowd means it's easier to see all kinds of merchandise you might have overlooked before: like the baseball seam key chain, or the Rays dress shirts.

And just for the record: The $1 playoff special cowbells are still in stock.

I'm sure it will be from now on, Holly.

The Team Store should have always been open!

Hey man, I said it first! Hopefully they don't have to sell the game 6 tickets.

GO RAYS!! COWBELL OVER THE MONSTAAAAA

Rob

Can you imagine next Sunday, Oct. 19th? It COULD happen this way: Tampa Bay plays Boston in a deciding Game 7 at 8 p.m. and the Bucs play home against Seattle at 8 p.m. Now THAT would something else! Again though, let's hope the Rays wrap it up sooner than that. Go Rays! Feel...the Heat...Rays!

Jimbo

True, much better idea, but not likely (hey, stranger things have happened and I've been WAY wrong before!)

CJ

I like Roy's idea the best.

GO RAYS!!

Roy

Hey Jimbo, if they win all 3 in Boston, there won't be a game 6. Here's to the next game at Tropicana Field being Game 1 of the World Series!

Jimbo

As soon as they win one in Boston, it'll force a Game 6, so they'll sell tickets then.

Anyone got info on when game 6 or 7 tickets go on sale? Hopefully they don't have to. :)

I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell! Go Rays! VICTORY!
