For Rays fans, the ring is the thing

Ring The Rays today showed off the replica AL Championship ring they are giving to all fans at the April 14 home game, and it's sharp looking and sure to be a collectible.

The replica ring is shiny, made of metal and similar looking, though not exactly the same (and obviously without the real diamonds!), as what the returning players will get in a pre-game ceremony that night.

The Rays logo is featured on the top, framed by the words 2008 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS, with the 9 = 8 slogan and AL EAST CHAMPS on one side and the team's 97-65 record and FIRST AL PENNANT on the other.

That'll be nice for all 30 people in attendance.
