Photos: Upton's walkoff homer
Wanted to share some photos of the Rays walkoff win tonight and hear your feedback on this gallery. I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time as B.J. Upton connected on a home run to lead off the 9th inning and cap the surprising 8-7 comeback win. Ironically, I had the same dumb luck on a Friday night in May last year when Cliff Floyd did the same thing (although the home plate umpire didn't defend the plate as well last time).
I put together our nightly photo gallery with the full sequence from the play. It's roughly all 80 photos from the 10 seconds or so Upton's swing and the celebration lasted. Uncropped, and unsteady as my hand is, I'm not sure if this effect is fun or just annoying.
The tighter photos are shot with a 400mm lens and the others with a 200mm from out near third base.
