All Star lineups, with Longoria 7th and other things
AL president Jackie Autry (former Angels owner) gives glowing intro of Joe Maddon (former Angels coach) and ends by pointing out he got married and is now "forbidden fruit."
Maddon has some fun, too. Revealing his lineup by saying Ichiro, and then using first names for rest of players - Derek, Joe, etc.
For AL
Suzuki, rf
Jeter, ss
Mauer, c
Teixeira, 1b
Bay, lf
Hamilton, cf
Longoria, 3b
Hill, 2b
Halladay, p
Maddon considered Longoria fifth but opted to do it other way.
Roy Halladay will start for AL, Tim Lincecum for NL.
NL lineup:
Ramirez, ss
Utley, 2b
Pujols, 1b
Braun, rf
Ibanez, lf
Wright, 3b
Victorino, cf
Molina, c
Lincecum, p

Tim, knowing Maddon you could be right. He does have 13 pitchers to work with and im sure hes going to use them.

Tim, I wouldn't say "never". Since the game is in a National League park, Maddon can't pinch hit for the pitcher every time. Someone has to go at least 3 innings and would likely have one plate appearance for an AL pitcher.
In any event, here's to the AL! Hope the Rays do well.

You won't see a pitcher hit.

Very suprised Hamilton is batting after Bay and before Longoria considering how poor hes been at the plate this year, especially sinse his return from the DL. I wish they would use the DH in all all star games so we could see 1 more hitter. I dont care to watch Roy Halladay bat. Compairing the 2 lineups the AL has a much more traditional roster where as the NL is stacked with 3-4 hole hitters, this should be one of the better all star games.
