Give MaryEllen a piece of your mind

A reminder: Hillsborough Superintendent MaryEllen Elia this week kicked off her annual round of town hall meetings throughout the county. This is where she takes questions at an open mic about whatever school issues are on your mind.

The meetings typically see fair to low turn-out, so it's a good chance to get some time to have concerns addressed. Elia shows up with an entourage of school administrators who can follow up on details, if needed.

Below is the schedule of the remaining meetings. All begin at 7 p.m.

Sept. 17: Twin Lakes Elementary, 8507 N. Habana Ave., Tampa
Sept. 24: Burnett Middle, 1010 N. Kingsway Rd., Seffner
Sept. 25: Gaither High, 16200 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa
Sept. 27: Jefferson High, 4401 W. Cypress St., Tampa
Oct. 1: Turkey Creek Middle, 5005 Turkey Creek Rd., Plant City

She doesn't listen to the teachers, why would parents think she'll listen to them?

It's all a show.

This is nothing but "Image Remediation".

The lastest dust up during the Team -Building Workshop revealed that everything is scripted and anything we have to contribute doesn't mean cr@p!

Even the Board can't question her decisions. When will we wise up?

I'm voting everybody but April OUT!

It's one thing for a public official to be accessible to the public. But it sounds like Mary Ellen is starting to think of herself as School District President instead of the Board's hired manager.
