As the new and improved student union under construction at the University of South Florida's main campus in Tampa moves toward its summer 2008 opening, construction workers hit a project milestone Friday morning.
At 9 a.m., they installed the gold beam (as in green and gold, Go Bulls!) that has been signed by thousands of students, staff and faculty. The beam tops off the new Marshall Center's steel structure.
