Crist from London: Shoutout to FAU, FGCU
Ah, so that's why Lt. Gov.-turned-FAU-President Frank Brogan is in Europe on the trade mission with Gov. Charlie Crist.
FAU and Florida Gulf Coast have signed agreements with British research institutions to improve the universities' efforts in addressing global climate change and conservation -- a move Crist applauded in a written statement.
Brogan, former Lt. Gov under Jeb Bush, and representatives from the other research institutions just signed Memoranda of Understanding during a reception hosted by United Kingdom Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Kim Howells.
"Florida's research universities are the heart of our technology innovation, and I applaud the international partnerships established here today," Governor Crist said. "Talented scientists are developing high quality research that results in real-world applications, and collaboration can advance the work being done in Florida and around the world."

I guess the GOveror forgot that in his stae, only 1 in 100 11th graders scored a 5 on the Science FCAT. When the state calls mediocre a great success, you do not grow world class scientists. Florida can provide the menial laborers, though.

do you really think Chuckles Crist is going to improve our education system?
Chuck can't even spell education.
Brogan is awesome though.
Brogan should have been Governor and Crist should have been President of St. Pete College or something, although I don' know if he could even handle that!
