Law schools find out how well they're doing

Results of the most recent Florida Bar exam, released today by the Supreme Court of Florida, puts the University of Miami at the top of the list with a 92.4 percent pass rate.

While FAMU law school remains at the bottom with a 67.9 percent pass rate, the school fared considerably better than in February 2007, when only 52.4 percent of the students were successful.

Here are the pass rates for Florida's other law schools:

Florida International, 90.6
University of Florida, 89.4
Stetson, 85 percent
Nova Southeastern, 85.8
Florida State, 85.4
Florida Coastal, 82.3 percent
St. Thomas, 80 percent
Barry, 75.6 percent

The Court approved 1,477 candidates for admission to the Florida Bar. Formal induction ceremonies to swear in the new lawyers will be held Oct. 6.

Affirmative Action? Barack Obama never indicated that he was black on his admissions applications to Columbia and Harvard Law. Oh and just in case you didn't know ... 100% of the black students at FSU law passed the bar!

FAMU's "Founding Faculty" and first dean Percy Luney are responsible for the school's current position. They underestimated the power of the FAMU brand in the African American community.

FAMU College of Law is located in Orlando and 31% of its students are non-minority.

too bad famu only judges by the color of one's skin. talk about lack of diversity. they like jim crow in tallahassee.

Racism is reawakened by the realization of distinguished competition.

I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

all my black friends know how to spell yearning. also i am a fan of affirmative action. if your dad applied for a job but didn't get it because an underqualified minority got it that means your dad wasn't adequate. with all the benefits of being white he was still close enough to the bottom to get knocked out.

I'm no fan of affirmative action, but some of you guys are speaking out of hatred and ignorance rather than reason. Whether or not someone passes the bar has nothing to do with the color of their skin. I just graduated from FSU Law and every one of my black friends who I've heard from passed the bar.

Affirmative action at it's finest! Just pass them automatically...Obama would!

They have got to get more whites in there to help bring those numbers up

The Epic 'Fail' continues.....

Lack of diversity.

Wow, 67.9%, that's pretty low. What ever could be the cause?

What do you expect from Affirmative Action?

Just as long as we don't get any more former Buccaneers yerning for their piece of the personal injury pie.

Brad you'll always be fat to me.
