Pasco school officials took the first steps today toward a major revision of the district’s west-county middle and high school attendance zones.
The effort, which could affect thousands of students, started with a committee assigned to draw boundaries for a new high school that is to open in 2010 on Chicago Avenue at State Road 52. Representatives from Hudson and River Ridge high schools submitted proposals (EEE_Recommendation 1, EEE_Recommendation 2, EEE_Recommendation 3) and discussed those along with a suggested map from the district planning department.
“That gets the ball rolling,” planning director Chris Williams told the Gradebook.
