Board of Governors chairwoman Sheila McDevitt said today that contract negotiations continue for Frank Brogan, selected earlier this month to serve as Florida's new universities chancellor.
The BOG meets next week in Tallahassee, where Brogan will relocate with wife Courtney and son Colby, who is almost 5. But McDevitt said she isn't certain the contract will be ready for a BOG vote by then. But the board has time because Brogan isn't likely to start his new post until September. He has been FAU's president since 2003.
Carolyn Roberts, the BOG vice chair who led the search for Brogan, said he has made clear he does not expect any sort of significant raise. Most likely, his contract as chancellor will mirror what's left on the FAU contract -- though the BOG might give Brogan a housing allowance, which former chancellor Mark Rosenberg has. Brogan currently lives in the FAU president's mansion.
Here is a comparison of Brogan's FAU contract and Rosenberg's chancellor package:

Supplemental compensation (Foundation): $42,840

Retirement compensation: $41,667
Housing allowance: $24,000
Car allowance: $9,000
Total: $416,353
