Budd Thacker, Dekoda Watson apologize for involvement in Florida State academic scandal
Two Florida State Seminoles football players say they're sorry their involvement in the academic misconduct scandal has tarnished the legacy of coach Bobby Bowden. Budd Thacker and Dekoda Watson told the Orlando Sentinel that they regret their involvement and its impact on Bowden, who stands to lose between seven and 14 victories unless the NCAA's order that the school vacate victories in 10 sports is overturned on appeal. "I know personally and for the guys that were involved with it, we're sincerely sorry about what happened," Watson told the Sentinel. Watson told the paper no matter what happens, Bowden will remain a legend. Thacker agreed: "It's a bad thing. I feel sorry for Coach Bowden [but] I think he'll be all right in the end."

Start your tomahawk chop and give us your war cry. The Seminole report is written by FSU beatwriter Brian Landman and the sports staff of the St. Petersburg Times.
Watson is right that Bowden will remain a legend. Bowden will always be known as a RENOWNED CHEAT!
