Eddie Robinson Jr. empathizes with Florida State coach Bobby Bowden

In case you missed it in today's Times, I talked to Eddie Robinson Jr. about how his father, Grambling State's iconic coach, was essentially showed the door -- a situation that's looking similar to what's happening in Tallahassee with Florida State's Bobby Bowden. He said:

"I think that they should give him all of his respect and let him go out the way he wants to. That's just my feeling. My father thought a lot of Coach Bowden and the Robinson family thinks a lot of him. … I hope everything works out for him. Fans are great and they're the same everywhere, but they're messing around with a legend."
