Clemson star defensive end Da'Quan Bowers doubtful for Florida State game
Clemson star defensive end Da'Quan Bowers is doubtful for Saturday's game against Florida State with a sprained left knee, Tigers coach Dabo Swinney said Sunday night.
"The information I initially got was it was just a sprained PCL and he should be fine; he even told me that, too,'' Swinney said. "It looks like it might be a little more involved.''
He said the sprain involves the MCL as well and although there's no indication it's serious, Bowers is "doubtful for this week.''
Added Swinney: "Obviously, if he's not able to play, that's a big blow to us. There aren't many Da'Quan Bowers walking around, so it'll be a challenge for our other guys to step up.''
