Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award
You've already seen on an earlier post today that Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder, who a week ago at this time wasn't even on the watch list for the Maxwell Award, has been named a semifinalist for the award that goes to the nation's top player.

The list will be narrowed to three on Nov. 23 with the winner announced on Dec. 10 at the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show. In case you're wondering, Charlie Ward is the only Seminole to win the Maxwell (1993).
